I am a teacher with a passion for Reading. It is my favorite part of the day to teach. I love working with small groups of children while the others are engaged in a book that they love! I also love listening to children read.
You will soon learn lots about my family because I love to share just as much as I love hearing about your interests. My daughter, Emma, is a second grader at South Salem Elementary School. She has been playing school and swimming all summer. I guess she gets her love for learning and teaching honestly. :o) My husband, Rodney, could not be any more supportive. He is always at school helping to set shelves up or deliver special treats for my class. We also have a chocolate lab named Maddie and a cat that Emma rescued last spring named Pesky. You will hear much more about these special people throughout the year.
Things that I love (other than reading with children):
running
reading
gardening (although most of what I plant seems to die)
playing school with Emma
watching baseball and football
The HOKIES
mexican food
Dunkin' Donuts coffee
I look forward to getting to know each of you this year! See you soon, Mrs. Blevins
